Both paths are designated state parks which pass through lovely picturesque scenery. The path on the NJ side is made from compacted quarry grit and blacktop, providing good bicycle surface. The path on the PA side is compacted dirt and rocky, making it more suited to mountain biking. The Golden Pheasant Inn located on the PA side tow path.
